Rob Weeks
With over 18 years of experience in the hospitality and finance recruitment industry, Rob has an encyclopaedic knowledge of how recruitment works. Before starting Excite Recruitment with Russ in 2007, Rob worked with Hays Recruitment, CTI Group USA and Berkeley Scott Group PLC – the UK’s largest hospitality and leisure recruitment firm.
Now at the forefront of cruise, international and nationwide recruitment, Rob and Excite look after many fantastic clients. Today, we work within a range of Guest focused, service orientated sectors which include cruise lines, five-star hotels, resorts, franchises, travel, tourism and retail operations. Rob recruits for senior culinary roles and executive management for cruise lines, hotels & resorts. Rob looks forward to working alongside you to partner for your resourcing desires and needs.

Russell Simove
With unparalleled experience in the hospitality industry, Russ’ career has spanned thirty years and seen him work within Walt Disney World Florida, Virgin Atlantic Airways, Carnival Cruise Lines, The De Vere Group and the Berkeley Scott Group PLC; where he met Rob. It was here, that the pair decided to set up Excite Recruitment.

James Lax
James has a wealth of experience of working within the maritime world. He joined the cruise industry in 1999 working with P&O Cruises in the role of HR Assistant Shore-side in the Carnival UK, Southampton offices. From then James has gone from strength to strength within his career, being a Personnel Officer with Clyde Marine, a Senior Rotations Planner with Carnival UK and a Sea-Going Recruiter with Navis Consulting too. Just some of James’s accolades include assisting one of the biggest cruise ship companies during one of their largest recruitment drives providing them with over 30 x 2nd Engineers and Electrical Technical Officers. James is looking forward to working alongside you to assist in your recruitment needs.
James is our Manager for Deck and Technical recruitment and heads-up The Excite Marine Division. This function focuses on supporting the resourcing for Deck and Technical roles for cruise lines, offshore and commercial shipping sectors. James specialises in providing Deck, Technical Officers and Ratings across the industry.
