Host / Hostess in a 5* Hotel in Grand Cayman

I’m EXCITED to share with you this SUPERB NEW OPPORTUNITY to join a 5 star boutique hotel in Grand Cayman. Here are the BRILLIANT bits:

  • Role:                            Host / Hostess working at the Spa and hotel surrounds
  • Where:                         5* Resort – A gorgeous hotel with 52 rooms which is frequented by affluent international vacationers and successful locals.
  • Location:                     Grand Cayman, the Caribbean
  • To start:                      Asap
  • Salary:                         $8USD TAX FREE per hour plus service charge – which could be up to an additional $1000US per month (not guaranteed)
  • Hours:                         45 hours per week and perhaps overtime too – working 5 days of 7
  • Vacation:                     2 weeks’ paid vacation per year
  • Role:                            The contracts offered are permanent contracts – this is a full time permanent role based in Grand Cayman.
  • Uniforms:                    Provided by the 5* hotel.
  • Benefits:                      The client will reimburse 50% of your arrival airline ticket (subject to conditions), pay for the work permit costs (subject to conditions), contribute 50% of your health insurance costs (you’d pay an additional $100USD per month), 5% pension scheme.  50% off food whilst eating in the guest restaurants (subject to rules and availability). Free meals in the staff canteen whilst working.
  • Accommodation:         Provided by the hotel for circa 1 week on arrival. After 1 week, you are supported by the hotel to find your own lodgings on the island


The BRILLIANT Opportunity:

  • Working in the 5* hotel, you’ll be the ambassador and often, first point of contact at the spa and surrounding pool, outdoor gym and leisure areas.
  • The spa is recently refurbished and is relaunching.
  • This will be guest experience focussed role.
  • The successful candidate will be required to show guests around the Spa, help with towels around the pool, greet and be the initial point of contact for anyone walking in.
  • There is lots of walking in this role…so it will keep you fit!
  • You will be working and walking in warm / hot temperatures and should be agreeable and happy to acclimatise to the sunshine of Grand Cayman.
  • It’s a fast paced role.
  • You’ll be a guest service agent knowing all of the hotel restaurants, activities, locations and guide.
  • Personality is key but understanding boundaries is important
  • Confidentiality is highly important due to the clientele being looked after.
  • Working in a team of 16+ within a spa facility in the 5* hotel with 8 treatment rooms.


You the GREAT candidate

  • You will come from a background of working in customer / guest service and really enjoy engaging, interacting and positively chatting with people.
  • You will wear a smile, be up-beat and promote conversation with guests.
  • You will be happy to be a SPA AMBASSADOR and represent the 5* hotel in an exclusive way.
  • You could have worked at a 5* hotel, cruise ship or resort before.
  • Perhaps you will have already worked in a Spa as a receptionist or similar ‘greeting’ role.
  • You will be smartly attired, enjoy going above and beyond and making peoples’ day.
  • You will be comfortable to work in a warm / hot environment (when outside) and walking lots.
  • You will be a punctual professional whom is keen to go above and beyond.
  • Your work ethic will be FABULOUS!
  • You will be able to use your initiative and think on your feet as and when required.
  • Problem solving skills are necessary to deal with any mis-haps.
  • Successful candidates must follow the company and island Covid vaccination rules.


Additional key bits!

  • Grand Cayman Information:
  • The work permit which takes 1-2 weeks to get with the correct documents (including valid passport, reference, and clear criminal background funded by you). If you leave within 1 year of starting work, you’re required to pay 50% of the work permit back.
