  • Cruise line:      5 star Cruise Liner
  • Reporting to:   Bar Manager
  • Salary:             Tax free: $2,250USD per month + up to $1500USD additionally in commissions (not guaranteed and subject to variables)
  • Rotation:         26 weeks contract onboard / 8 weeks’ vacation unpaid
  • Berthing:         Shared Cabin
  • Stripes:           1.5 Stripe
  • Start date:       ASAP
  • JD:                   Full JD on application
  • Required:        New cruise medical, US C1/D visa (reimbursed), online STCW certificate, background check.


You the BRILLIANT Assistant Bar Manager;

  • Will have a minimum five years of progressive food and beverage management experience in an upscale hotel or cruise ship, restaurant, or high-volume food service facility (shipboard experience preferred).
  • You will have managed a team of at least 20 in the role of Bar Manager (or similar) plus, worked in an operation as Bar Manager (or similar) with at least 5 beverage outlets.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field from an accredited college or university or the international equivalent would be great.
  • You will be skilled in analysing manuals and recipes, computer backups, and calculating figures.
  • Any previous knowledge of USPH rules is a benefit. You will be able to offer personalized services and guest satisfaction plus lead by example and adhere to the HR policies..
  • Have working knowledge of Excel, Word, and internet access.


The SUPERB Role Overview

Alongside the Bar Manager, you will be managing and supervising the multi-site Bar department and assisting with the day-to-day operation of the department. You will be Improving and maintaining sales and profitability and reducing or eliminating guest’s complaints. You will also be responsible for ensuring that company standards are followed as per the beverage operations manual.
