Required for this Steak & Grill branded restaurant group in a variety of areas

Location: Sheffield, Solihull, Cardiff, Bolton

Contract type: Permanent

Salary: £25,000 to £29,000 depending on experience Live In accommodation

Start date: October / November 2011
Reporting to: Area Manager
Working Hours: 5 out of 7 days
Shifts: Day, Evening, Weekends

Main Responsibilities:

Responsible for: Assistant Managers, Chefs/Restaurant staff/Waiters/Bar tenders
Departments covered: Bar and restaurant


• Protecting and driving business forward
• Maintaining & Raising service levels
• Staff Recruitment
• Staff training and development
• Increasing Client relationships
• Securing repeat business
• Managing a £5k a week food operation effectively
• Managing sales of a drink/food split of 65/35%
• Working with budgets, targets and profit and loss accounts
• To be aware of, and comply with all statutory requirements on Health & Safety and all aspects of the Hotel’s Health & Safety Policy and Fire & Evacuation Procedures
• To uphold good housekeeping practices (i.e. neat and correct storage) to ensure safe, clean and pleasant working environment
• To ensure that all fixtures and equipment are cared for and maintained as appropriate
• To ensure that all guests are looked after in the most professional and courteous manner




YOU The Exciting Professional

Your experience will include

• 6 years’ experience at a supervisory level, minimum Assistant Manager for a branded pub restaurant or local community pub with a high volume of food and drink
• Setting and monitoring progress against budgets
• Bubbly, lively, smiley, warm and welcoming,
• Someone who can create a buzz with events like quiz nights, sports events,
• Creating a customer centred environment
• Experience of developing others
• Experience of identifying performance issues and addressing them effectively


The Essentials

• You will need to be eligible to work and live within the UK
• You will need to be currently living and working in the UK
• Due to our client’s remote location and limited public transport you will need your own transport (Motorcycle or Car)
