Bonus: Bonus subject to profit share – could be in the region of £20,000 and is linked to company profits

Start date: ASAP (the location opens in 5-7 weeks)

·Opening Hours: The complex is open 7 days a week – 10am till 6pm and later for events and groups
Reporting to: The MD
Responsible for: 5/6 full time staff and 5-10 part time staff
The Moto Entertainment Centre
Opening in summer 2010, this awesome complex, will become the world's premier radio controlled (RC) and virtual racing destination. It is a fully interactive visitor experience, ideal for a family day out, those visiting the circuit, or those racers taking part in any of our official race meetings on our incredible indoor and outdoor tarmac circuits as well as our off-road courses.
Located in a 36.000 SQFT, 3 storey building, with a dedicated outdoor area, at the very heart of the most famous of all motor sport facilities. The complex also contains unique attractions, such as rock climbing, tank battles, helicopter and aviation zones, as well as leading simulators from F1, WRC, Moto GP and the largest world class slot car tracks.
The complex is free to enter, and visitors are equipped with a smart card that is charged with credit redeemable against, attractions, retail or food and beverage. The location sells credit cards as vouchers or gifts, this system allows a cash less day out and an experience at your pace.
This experience provides all visitors with the hire of race cars, bikes, tanks or experienced drivers and pilots are encouraged to bring their own kit and set track times. They provide work benches and supplied electricity both indoors and outdoors.
This innovative company has teamed up with their neighbours at the circuit to allow mixed packages from circuit driving to a Silverstone track tour or a rally experience, all of which are unique to Moto-Arena Silverstone. It is a brand new, attraction concept, which brings together all manner of racing experiences: Motorsport, Formula 1, 4x4 Off-Road, Planes, Helicopters, and even Tanks & Military Vehicles into one, fully interactive environment. Using indoor and outdoor custom built and themed tracks, circuits, trails, raceways and airstrips, this great location will become a theme park for petrol heads: a complete world of 'Boys & Girls Toys'!
The project will be unique. The drama, sound and colour of motor racing will come alive in an intensive, interactive, visitor experience. Offering a unique mix of radio control model racing facilities (indoor and outdoor), virtual racing simulators, multi-user computer games and other racing-themed activities and events, it will also be a great family day out and unique corporate entertaining venue.
The brilliant complex will also be the ultimate 'try and buy' retail outlet, for all forms of model and remote control vehicles, with a dazzling array of ultra- desirable retail products for every taste and budget.Inside will be a retail outlet, a food and beverage function (cafeteria), arcade style gaming machines and more.
The Role of General Manager
Managing the day to day operation of the whole site which is open 7 days a week (10am – 6pm) and also in evenings for club events and activities. The position will to start of with work 5-6 days a week in a very ‘hands-on’ function to ensure the business operation is up and running and working smoothly. Once you have helped recruit your team, you will be able to manage a little more from a distance and then move to 5 days a week. Working weekends will be part of this role too. The GM will be business savvy and able to assist in driving sales through effective marketing ideas and methodology. Budgets and revenue targets are to be discussed and set when the business is in it’s embryonic stages. The fabulous centre will eventually have up to 14 part time staff and 8 full timers. IT systems including Microsoft Office and ‘Clarity Exact Ticketing’ will be used.
You the General Manager
You will have already been a GM (perhaps even an opening GM) of an ‘Entertainment Centre’. Maybe a resort complex or location which includes bowling, quasar, arcade machines and food and beverage outlets. You might come from a resort arena where you have managed ‘multi-site’ outlet functions. Your hospitality experience and customer facing charm will be fabulous. You might even have an interest in the motor racing world and this passion will excite you for this great role. You won’t be work-shy and able to put your hand at pretty much everything within the business operation. Your innovation to drive the function forward will be fabulous and your drive (see what I did there?) to make the entertainment complex a real success which you will be part of.
